The investment in these very accurate five-axis machining centres DMF 260 is a great addition to our machine park and contributes to the flexibility of our tool shop. Because of its optional layout the machine is extremely suited for machining in alternate modes, enabling to remove metal chips and set up the workpiece simultaneously. With the DMF 260 we want to further improve our internal processes and anticipate the ever increasing demand for flexibility and shorter process times.

The main features of the DMF 260 are a very solid machine bed made of vibration-reducing material and a thermo-symmetrically travelling column. The travelling tool magazine with 120 tools ensures rapid in-process tool replacements. The combination of the extremely accurate Direct Drive technology in the X-axis and the compulsory direct measuring systems ensures excellent workpiece precision.

The purchased machine is equipped with:

• A CNC-controlled B-axis instead of the standard vertical milling head.
• An integrated NC rotary table as extra C-axis.
• A 18000 rpm spindle, which no less than multiplies the chip-removal volume and at the same time guarantees the superior quality of the end product. In addition, high-frequency milling offers extra advantages such as milling in hardened steel.
